A revolutionary move: Andaman and Nicobar gets 4G
Andaman and Nicobar 4G connectivity a revolutionary move that will change the life of people of these
islands. On 10 April 2012, Airtel launched 4G services through dongles and modems using TD-LTE
technology in Kolkata, becoming the first company in India to offer 4G services.
From each corner of india except andaman and nicobar islands everyone enjoyed 4G network.
But then also they are not satisfied with this and want 5G.
We are talking about going to mars, but unable to provide 4G connectivity to our people.
No one thought about andaman and nicobar with was facing connectivity problems and were 10 years
behind from rest of the world.
So,after years of struggling with slow internet speeds, the Andaman and Nicobar islands
are finally integrated into the country’s 4G network with an investment of Rs 1,224 crore undersea
cable project connecting the islands to mainland.
Prime minister Narendra Modi on 10 August inaugrated this project.
Due to this project 400 Gigabits per second (Gbps) bandwidth
between Chennai and Port Blair, and 200 Gbps between Port Blair and other islands will be delivered.
The 2,313 kilometre submarine optical fiber cable will connect seven islands of the Andaman and Nicobar
archipelago, other than the capital city of Port Blair. That includes Swaraj Deep (Havelock island),
Long Island, Rangat, Little Andaman, Kamorta, Car Nicobar, and Greater Nicobar.
After hearing this news. airtel grap the opportunity
and announced it will be the first company to bring 4g connectivity.
The new fiber link marks a major milestone in India’s digital transformation journey as this
critical infrastructure reaches the strategic archipelago,” said Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman,
Bharti Airtel.
How it will affect people of Andaman and Nicobar?
People of these islands felt isolated as they were not connected to rest of the world.
Just think about 10 years back how we were watching videos on youtube with a lot of buffering,
but now we internet get slow for 1 minute also we get angry or say how much frustrated
we become on that 5 seconds advertisements.
This will not only connect them to rest of the world, but it will help them to know
what is going on in this world.
Like rest of india, now Students of these islands could get better education and it will help to
bring them close to new technology. With the help of internet what cannot be done, this initative will
provide them opportunites to make a better future for themselves.
For any union teritory or state for its development money is very important.
This land is full of natural beauties and the exotic collection of flora and fauna,
which attract tourists worldwide. The innumerable tourist spots of
Andaman and Nicobar islands support the tourism industry of the place.
Earlier tourist had a horrible experience due to network issues.Connectivity was such a big issue
that cant even open google maps, but this project will boost tourism.

INDIA AT 75 YEARS OF IT’S INDEPENDENCE

Vande Matram. That is what we Indians proudly believe in. As the nation celebrates it’s 75th independence today tomorrow we cannot forget the golden and glorious history we have. When the Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will hoist the tri-colour from the ramparts of the Red Fort then India will enter in the 76th year of its independence. Everyone waits for this day and we cannot forget the unsung heroes without which we could not have been here. Right from Rajguru, Tatya Tope, Lal, Bal, Pal, Bapu, Rani Laxmi Bai, Mangal Pandey, Subhash Chandra bose etc. we cannot forget them. Our nation is forever indebted to them. We as a nation have come a long way and a we need to progress a lot more.
Late PM Jawahar Lal Nehru, had talked about “Tryst with Destiny”. Today our nation is carrying that weight on their soldiers. Be it a sportsperson winning a medal in the olympics or a naval officer storming in the ocean, all of them are serving the nation. We are the nation that has never invaded any country in her last 100000 years of history. We feel proud because of that. In 2022 ISRO willattempt to send their cosmonauts to the moon. This is the India that our forefathers had mentioned. We feel blessed to be born in this sovereign, socialist, republic.
We proudly call India our home. Today’s India is like this:-
● India has the largest number of Post Offices in the world.
● The largest employer in India is the Indian Railways, employing over a million people.
● The world’s first university was established in Takshila in 700 BC. More than 10,500 students from all over the world studied more than 60 subjects. The University of Nalanda built in the 4th century was one of the greatest achievements of ancient India in the field of education.
● Ayurveda is the earliest school of medicine known to mankind. The Father of Medicine, Charaka, consolidated Ayurveda 2500 years ago. ● India was one of the richest countries till the time of British rule in the early 17th Century. Christopher Columbus, attracted by India’s wealth, had come looking for a sea route to India when he discovered America by mistake.
There are countless facts about India that will make us outshine other nations. We still have a long way to go. With us being still a farming nation we need to progress a lot. Our politicians are trying to divert us a lot. We need to look at the core issues. As a nation in 2020 do we need caste based politics or we want to progress. Why do we have to talk about roti, kapda, makan? Still A huge part of Indian population i.e. 190 million people sleep without food daily. This is the future we want to give or do we want something different.
The glorious aspects are there in a sense that we feel safe and secure. Cricket, football, our languages and culture are the things that bind us. We want affordable education for everyone. We want that farmers do not commit suicide. We should have the world class infrastructure. We as a nation are progressing in that sense. We will complete some major highways network by 2025. Our industries are flourishing.
We need better educational policies. We still are debating about temples and religions. Our constitution right from 26 November, 1949 promotes universal brotherhood and fraternity. Our country craves for such good things. The places where we need to come together and show to the world that yes Indians are a force to reckon with.
We need to start talking about better environmental policies, removal of the VIP culture, better education. Our tryst with destiny will actually happen if we start acting and never stop. Once an Indian forever an India. Jai Hind.
